Simple Google Reviews ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Simple Google Reviews Shopify application ("App"). This Privacy Policy is transparent and provides clear details to merchants and their customers about how personal data is collected, processed, and stored when using our App.

When you install Simple Google Reviews, we access the following data through Shopify's APIs:
- Store information: Your Shopify store name, store domain/URL, and primary contact email address.
- Merchant profile: Your name and email address associated with your Shopify account.
- Storefront data: Theme information necessary to embed the reviews widget on your storefront.
We do not access or store your customers' personal information, payment details, or order data through Shopify's APIs.
2. Information We Collect Directly from Merchants
In addition to data obtained through Shopify's APIs, we may collect:
- Contact information: Your email address and any information you provide when contacting our support team.
- Google Business details: Your Google Business listing name and place ID that you provide during app configuration.
- App configuration: Your widget settings, layout preferences, and customization choices.
- Automated usage logs: We automatically log app interactions such as pages visited within the app, features used, configuration changes, timestamps, and browser/device type. These logs help us maintain and improve the App.
3. Information About Your Customers (Storefront Visitors)
Our App is designed with your customers' privacy in mind:
- No tracking technologies: The reviews widget does not place cookies, pixels, or any other tracking technologies on your customers' browsers or devices.
- No customer data collection: We do not collect, store, or process any personal information from your storefront visitors.
- No navigation logging: We do not log or track your customers' browsing behavior or navigation patterns on your store.
The widget loads and renders review content without making any requests that identify or track individual visitors.
4. How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect solely to provide and operate the App. Specifically:
- To install, authenticate, and maintain the App on your Shopify store.
- To retrieve and display Google Reviews on your storefront.
- To save and apply your widget configuration and customization preferences.
- To communicate with you regarding your account, support requests, and important App updates.
- To monitor App performance, diagnose technical issues, and improve functionality.
We do not use your information for any purposes other than providing the App's services. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to your customers, building interest-based profiles, or any form of ad targeting.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services (such as cloud hosting) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.

- Support correspondence: Retained for up to 12 months after your last interaction for quality and reference purposes.
If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us and we will process your request within 10 business days.

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
